Today marks a turning point for Zimbabweans sending money back home. WorldRemit has officially relaunched its cash pickup service, bringing flexibility back into money transfers—exactly what customers asked for.

Previously, when sending money to Zimbabwe, recipients had to collect cash from the exact location selected by the sender. If that specific agent, such as Mukuru or HelloPaisa, had no cash available, recipients would experience significant delays and frustration. This led to senders frequently receiving distress calls from recipients looking for immediate solutions.

Now, WorldRemit has changed all that.

Recipients can now conveniently pick up cash from any of the over 1,000 locations across Zimbabwe. Senders no longer need to select a specific cash pickup point. Instead, recipients have the flexibility to collect their money from any available WorldRemit location, such as Mukuru, HelloPaisa or Quest Financial and many more. A recent test transaction in Marondera, a town outside Harare, demonstrated the ease and reliability of this new system, as funds were collected effortlessly at various pickup points.

Alongside the flexibility in cash pickup locations, WorldRemit has introduced additional customer-focused features. Customers can now recover their accounts easily through the app without having to call customer support. WorldRemit’s app has added easier ways to regain access without having to call customer service. They’ve also introduced a 24/7 live chat feature for quicker assistance, significantly cutting down the waiting time customers previously experienced.
